Three Key Factors Of Your Workout
~Frequency plays a big role in the effectiveness of your workouts. Working out too often can cause muscles to break down; working out too seldom can make your workout virtually ineffective. To reduce muscle soreness and give your muscles the time they need to recover and build up after a workout, we recommend exercising in intervals of every other day. If you want to exercise everyday, we suggest you workout different muscle groups each day (alternating upper body one day and lower body the next day). Your muscles need typically forty-eight hours between workouts to repair themselves or they can start to break down.
~Experts recommend at least thirty minutes of contiuous activity several days a week. We recommend you start slowly with twenty to thirty minutes and progress as your fitness level increases. You can even break these twenty-minute workouts into two ten-minute chunks if that makes things more manageable for you.
~It probably goes without saying that different activities require different levels of intensity, but you should also remember that even if you do the same exercise repeatedly, you can change the intensity by adjusting the speed or resistance level of the activity. We always recommend that you start with low intensity and go slow. This helps prevent injury and soreness.
